The second journey of a lifetime...

Dear Family and Friends,

Have you ever waited SO LONG for something to happen that sometimes you thought that it would actually never happen and then when it finally does, it catches you a little off guard?  Well, that is my feeling tonight, on the eve of our long awaited trip to China to adopt a baby girl.  Over five and a half years ago, the Lord put a dream in our hearts to adopt from China.  As many of you know, due to China’s one-child policy, many little baby girls are abandoned and left at orphanages because the family desires a male child.  We started the adoption process for a baby girl from China, believing that it would only take about a year or 18 months to complete, not knowing the long waiting saga that would develop.  In some ways, waiting for “Baby Addi” (short for Addison) to someday come and join our family has become part of our family identity….…who we are.   And yet, the very first time that her adorable little face popped up on our computer screen on our child match day, all the frustration of waiting for so long melted away!  And now, finally, here we are…. ready to go……tomorrow…..yes, tomorrow morning!   With our tickets in hand, love in our hearts, and our eldest daughter, Ali, in tow….here we go!

In the morning, we will set out on the second journey of a lifetime!  Many of you, if not all of you….already know of our first journey of a lifetime that changed our lives forever over seven years ago when two little girls from Kazakhstan entered our hearts and our home.  We have never been the same!  And now, here we go again!  We are finally on the verge of departing to meet our little girl from China, Addison Li Mei Neville!  She was born June 26, 2010 in the Guangxi Province of China.  We will finally get to meet her and hold her for the very first time on April 20th!

So, we share our great news and joy with you, our family and friends.  Please pray for our travels and for favor in all aspects of the adoption process.  Pray for health and for our precious Aisy, who is staying home with family members!  Pray for Ali, that her little heart would be touched and changed forever as she experiences the wondrous process of adoption again, for the second time, in the life of her new little sister.   Thanks in advance for your prayers and support!  We know that we are not alone!

We will be sending out periodic emails and blogging right here on our website during the entire process to keep everyone at home up to date with what is happening!

Blessings from our family to yours…..

The Nevs……
