Harvest School in Pemba Mozambique

Can you imagine spending nine weeks of your life at a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led, hands-on, in the dirt, evangelistic mission’s training school? Just imagine joining together with over 300 students from all over the world who are learning how to bring the Good News to the poor, to look after widows, to love the orphans, to heal the sick and to bring freedom to the captives. What if you had the opportunity to be trained by Heidi and Rolland Baker and other international ministers and missionaries at the Iris Harvest School of Missions, set in the Village of Joy in Pemba, Mozambique? What if God said to you, "You will never have an easier time to say, 'Yes!' than right now!"?

After much prayer, discussion and confirmation from our pastors and Operation ACTS board members, our family has said, "Yes!" to this next stepping stone of our ministry. All six of our family will be traveling to Mozambique this October 2-December 11th, 2015 to attend the Harvest School of Iris Global. We are expecting transformation and for God to expand, once again, our hearts and vision to minister to orphans.

Here is what Heidi Baker has to say about the Harvest School; "There is a new breed of missionaries being released across the earth, transparent saints, with oversized hearts, beating in rhythm with the heart of their Bridegroom King Jesus, carrying His glory across the earth. Fearless, laid down lovers that know a love that has no boundaries, and are ready to run into the darkest places of the earth and bring in the lost, the dying, the poor and the broken. Jesus came with ceaseless love for both the one and the masses. Now we must do the same: stop for the one, but believe for the multitudes.”

The vision of Iris Global can be summed up in a few words: CALLED TO LOVE! It's a huge vision that is changing the world, person by person and nation by nation and we are humbled and in awe that God has placed this opportunity before us.

The next couple of weeks are going to be an extremely busy time for our family as we make all the final preparations for us to leave. Please be praying for us. We are not taking this trip lightly and it is no small undertaking! While we are in Africa, we will need to rely on your prayers for health, safety, protection and that God will accomplish in us and through us all that He has determined to do!

A little over a year ago, God opened a door for us to start our own business which we are able to do from home. For such a time as this, our business has been able to provide all of the funds that we needed to cover the tuition for our family to attend the Harvest School. Along with funds from our ministry, Operation ACTS, we are well on our way to covering the cost of our plane tickets, too!

We are believing God to supply the remaining finances that we need for this huge undertaking for our family. They include:

$1,100 dollars to purchase bottled water for our family to drink during our entire 9 week stay in Africa,

$600 for our Mozambican visas

$500 extra supplies needed during our stay

$2,000 for the balance of our tickets.

We are asking that you would prayerfully consider supporting the needs of our family to go on this once in a lifetime experience!   If you would like to receive email updates while we are on our trip, please send an email to philneville68@gmail.com and you will be added to our list.   All donation checks made payable to Operation ACTS will receive a tax deductible receipt and will  be used exclusively for our trip to Mozambique!

Thank you for your prayers and support!

Getting ready to come home...

Dear family and friends....

We are getting ready to leave China and come home with our long-awaited daughter, Addison Li Mei! We are so anxious to get going here!!

We finished the last step of the long adoption process with our visit to the US Consulate here in Guangzhou early yesterday morning (Thursday)! It was a very cool and surreal feeling to sign my signature for the last time, sealing this adoption process! We then enjoyed the rest of yesterday with a nap for the entire family, swimming for daddy and Ali, a little shopping and then dinner at Lucy's, where they serve American food....yum (actually, everything that we have had to eat during our trip has been yummmmm). We went on a little shopping excursion this morning and then spent some of the time getting everything packed up and ready to go. Now the girls are all resting while I check on the status of the Browns draft and do email....LOL. Why in the world did they (the Browns) trade back up to the 21st pick, giving up a 3rd round selection to do so....??????? I know....you don't care what the Browns do.....sorry....everyone is asleep here and I had no one but you to ask that question to......

We are waiting until 5 pm when our facilitators Jason and Maggie will return from the consulate where they have been picking up the visas and paperwork for us....we will then check out of our hotel before 6 pm and have dinner before we leave for Guangzhou International airport at 7 pm. Our short flight for Hong Kong leaves around 10:40 pm and we arrive around midnight where we will check into a nearby airport hotel for a few hours of sleep. We then have an early trip back to the airport where we board the 9:20 am flight bound for Detroit Michigan,,,,16 hours later, we will land in Detroit and upon our processing through immigration, Addison Li Mei Neville will become an official citizen of the United States of America! YEA!!!!!!!!!!! We then board a flight to Columbus Ohio and finally arrive back in Ohio around 3:37 pm Saturday where we will meet Aisy, Aunt Kim and Uncle Aaron, cousin Zane, my parents and my brother Tim at the airport! From there it is only an hour and 40 minute drive home, which may be interesting considering Mei Mei has NEVER been in a car seat.....hummmmmmm (Ali and Aisy both cried almost the whole way from Chicago to Toledo OH in their car seats when we first brought them home sooooooooooo longgggggggggg agooooooo).

So, that is the scope....please pray for a safe and smooth trip for us all! We have all been very healthy thus far on this trip and are thankful for that!

Well, for the last time from China......

Hello from Guangzhou..

Today we had Mei Mei's visa photo taken and her physical examination for our visa appointment at the US Consulate very early Thursday monring.  Everything went well....she is very healthy and weights 20 lbs.  We then had paperwork to do and prepare for our visit in the morning.....after that was all finished, we had some fun shopping at some of the local shops, had a Subway sandwich (yes, in China) and enjoy a great dinner with the other adopting families at a local Thai restaurant....there are 12 families adopting children with CCAI, our adoption agency.

So, we are excited to have another step in the process finished and to complete the next step in the morning!  We are only a few days from coming HOME with our little baby!  YEA!

So, enjoy some new pictures from our day....
